Where The House Opens Into The Land
Beyond the Bridge House, life at EKA unfolds outward — into forest, soil, water, and open sky. The land here is not landscaped into submission or curated for display. It is allowed to remain what it is: seasonal, imperfect, and alive.
The rhythms of the day are shaped by light, weather, and the quiet movement of nature rather than schedules or activities.
THE LAND
EKA sits within a sensitive ecological zone at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Forested slopes rise behind the property, while a natural stream flows through the land below the house.
The terrain remains largely untouched. Paths follow existing contours. Trees stand where they always have. Water moves freely, carrying sound and life through the site.
The land is not a backdrop here. It is an active presence.

THE FARM
The land around EKA is organically farmed, with a long-term focus on soil health, biodiversity, and regeneration.
Farming here is not ornamental. It is functional and ongoing — shaped by seasons, rainfall, and patience. Crops are grown with care, compost is returned to the soil, and cultivation follows natural cycles rather than yield targets.
FARMING EXPERIENCE
Every stay at EKA includes a simple, hands-on farming experience.
Guests are invited to step onto the land — to observe, learn, and participate in a way that feels natural and unforced. The experience is gentle and seasonal.
It is not a demonstration. It is an invitation.

RENT-A-PATCH
Rent-A-Patch is a community farming initiative that began long before EKA opened its doors for stays.
Individuals and families care for a small patch of land over a period of time, taking responsibility for what they grow and harvest. Everything grown within a patch belongs to those tending it.
Connection here is built through participation.
